Sabina Streeter
Sabina Streeter is a contemporary artist known for her passionate and inclusive vision, transcending political, social, and economic boundaries. Alanna Heiss, director of P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center, praises Streeter’s work for its unique conceptual content and cool detachment. Specializing in individual and small group portraits, Streeter draws inspiration from classical traditions, infusing them with her eclectic experience. Her portraits, marked by dramatic detail, address issues of craft, class, culture, and universal longing. Streeter's diverse subjects include bluebloods, aristocrats, filmmakers, students, and historic figures. Born in Munich to a family of creatives, she has studios in Munich and Sag Harbor, New York.
