Manfred Oehmichen

Born in Göttingen, Manfred Oehmichen balanced his medical career with a lifelong passion for art. After practicing medicine in various cities like Bad Homburg/Saar, Kiel, and Tübingen, where he also held a professorship, he transitioned to forensic medicine. Despite his professional commitments, Oehmichen remained devoted to art, attending exhibitions and pursuing painting. Upon retirement, he fully immersed himself in his artistic pursuits. While his earlier works were colorful and abstract acrylic paintings, in recent years he has developed his own printing technique, creating vibrant and emotionally resonant monotypes characterized by a unique aesthetic vision.
