Alex Kveton
Alex Kveton creates unique, handcrafted sculptures from bronze and stainless steel, each piece formed, rolled, and welded rather than cast. His process begins with detailed sketches and a cardboard model, followed by cutting, shaping, and assembling individual parts. Using high-grade Type 304 stainless steel, which resists rust and corrosion, Kveton ensures his sculptures are durable and maintain their bright luster. For outdoor projects, he uses marine-grade Type 316 stainless steel. Kveton also works with bronze, polishing and applying hot patina for varied colors, then lacquering and waxing for durability. Stainless steel sculptures are dusted with a soft cloth, while bronze sculptures require occasional waxing.
