Jeppe Hein

Jeppe Hein, a Danish artist born in 1974, swiftly ascended to the upper echelons of contemporary art. Studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts and the Städel in Frankfurt, he captivated the art world by infusing playfulness into his installations. Reflective surfaces feature prominently in his works, inviting viewers to engage and interact. Over time, Hein’s art evolved, delving into deeper themes of philosophy and spirituality following a bout of burnout syndrome. His exhibitions span the globe, from PS1 MOMA in New York to the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Represented in prestigious collections worldwide, Hein's art blurs the boundaries between viewer, artwork, and environment, inviting active participation and contemplation. He currently resides and creates in Copenhagen and Berlin.
